Art for the Family!
Below are some links to websites I use when developing lesson plans. Although I do not use Pinterest, I hear it also has some fun craft type projects. If you have any fun ideas please feel free to email me and share them with me.

Pictionary...it doesn't cost a dime!
Its pretty simple actually. Grab a note pad, a couple of pencils, huddle around a table and get started. We have been playing this game in class and the kids love it! I have been officiating the teams. I write a word or a phrase and make the stutrdents read it and they begin drawing when I instruct them to begin. They can not write letters or numbers and can not act it out. This gives them a chance to read, demonstrate their knowledge of a word or phrase, and also forces them to be creative with their drawings. As an example...Buggs Bunny is easy enough to draw but they have to get the entire word not just bunny. It forces students to draw bugs as well to get their team to a correct answer. "April showers bring May flowers" has been a great saying as well. It forces students to demonstrate multiple words and creativity because their is no writing only drawing. Next time spring showers has your family couped up on a weekend, give this little game a try. Its a lot of fun!
